On Sunday, the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation revealed it received a donation of $19,000 from fans of of EXO's Kai.
Kai's fanclub donated 23 million Korean won to the pediatric leukemia foundation in celebration of the EXO member's upcoming birthday. Fans of the idol also donated additional funds to other charities.
"Kai's fan club donated the money to our foundation, and we'll use it for those in need," the Foundation announced.
EXO's Kai (birth name Kim Jongin) celebrated his 22nd birthday on Jan. 14. He was born in 1994.
Kai debuted as a member of EXO in 2012, and became immensely popular after appearing in numerous teaser videos prior to EXO's debut.
The SM Entertainment K-pop boy band received numerous year-end awards and broke several album records in South Korea in 2015.
2016 will see Kai making his solo acting debut with a lead role in the web drama, "Choco Bank."
