2016 is set to be a busy year for SM Entertainment.
The K-pop powerhouse plans to release new music each week through its new digital music STATION, announced SM Entertainment on Wednesday. First up will be a new song from Girls' Generation's Taeyeon, who made her solo debut last year.
Along with the announcement, SM Entertainment's founder Lee Soo Man released a teaser video for Taeyeon's upcoming track "Rain."
SM Entertainment previously denied a comeback from Taeyeon.
STATION is one of two new projects from SM Entertainment that Lee announced on Wednesday at a presentation titled "SMTOWN: New Culture Technology." The company will also release a new idol unit project known as NCT, which aims to localize K-pop around the globe by releasing sub-units throughout the world.
Lee Soo Man's project plans were announced at a time as various K-pop agencies look to diversify revenue sources as the popularity of K-pop threatens to slow.
Along with STATION and NCT, SM Entertainment also recently unveiled a new restaurant venture and several other plans.
Taeyeon's "Rain" was announced on Jan. 27, and will be released later this month through STATION. It will be the second release from SM Entertainment in 2016, following the upcoming solo debut album from Super Junior's Ryeowook, "The Little Prince."
