Miley Cyrus has given her fans some exclusive news. Cyrus announced via her Twitter page that she is on the top of Maxim's annual Hot 100 list, not even giving the magazine the chance to break the news first. It marks the first time that Cyrus has topped Maxim's Hot 100 list or come anywhere close to the No. 1 spot.

Cyrus also tweeted a photo of herself inside her Maxim Hot 100 spread, lying on her side in a gold bathing suit that matches her hair color.

"Didn't know this was coming out yet! I'm so happy to be #1 on Maxims HOT 100! #myfanskickass #dreamsdocometrue," she tweeted.

Of course, she's not the first singer to break the news of a major magazine cover or accolade before the publication had a chance to. Last August, Lady Gaga leaked her Vogue cover before the issue ever hit newsstands.

Cyrus has received an impressive number of awards throughout her career, winning a total of 57 accolades out of 122 nominations. Among the accolades, she has won 15 Teen Choice Awards, six Kids' Choice awards and an MTV Movie award. Her most recent accolades came at last year's Teen Choice Awards, where she won for Female Hottie and Fashion Icon Female.

Unfortunately, not of all her accolades have been flattering. Cyrus has also received two nominations for worst actress at the Razzies, which "honors" the worst movies of the year. She was nominated for Hannah Montana: The Movie in 2010 and The Last Song in 2011.

Cyrus is set to take on the lead role in the upcoming movie Family Bond, where she will play the role of a 16-year-old girl. It's scheduled to hit theaters in December.
