It is always refreshing to see western celebrities, especially Hollywood-natives, making appearances on Asian variety shows.
Actor/comedian Jack Back made his Korean variety show debut on Infinite Challenge and talked about the fun experience with Ellen DeGeneres on her show this past Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2015.
With excerpts of his Infinite Challenge episode playing in the background, Black recalled shooting for the show "very cardiovascular" as he remembers doing lots of a sweat-oriented activities in a short amount of time.
"I had to take breaks," the actor said. "There was a lot of sweating."
While Ellen's audience were amused with what they saw, Black praised Koreans saying they "sure know how to have fun" and mentioned that Infinite Challenge was the country's number one show.
In addition, Infinite Challenge's producer, Kim Tae Ho, praised Jack Black's professionalism as he kept focus during the four-hour shoot.
As reported by Kpop Herald, Kim struggled to come up with content to make the Kung Fu Panda actor comfortable in the Korean variety show and was obsessed with the idea of making it laughable.
"But it turned out that I had nothing to worry about," the producer said to local reporters. "Jack was very focused on the shooting, and even gave others the opportunity to take breaks. We got the result we wanted."
Infinite Challenge's "School of Rock"-themed episode with Jack Black will on Saturday, January 30, 2015 on MBC.
