G-Dragon Lands On HYPEBEAST Magazine's 100 Most Creative Innovators List

Big Bang leader G-Dragon again sets himself apart from all other K-pop idols by becoming the only one selected in the latest HYPEBEAST 100, the eponymous magazine's list of 100 most influential people.

The magazine handpicked G-Dragon for his enormous clout not only in the music scene due to Big Bang's record-breaking comeback and concert tour, but also his individual footprints in fashion and pop culture through high-profile collaborations.

G-Dragon thanked the magazine for the honor, posting about it on Instagram.

The lifestyle magazine centers on the latest in men's fashion, art, design and music - four areas in which many fans can agree G-Dragon excels in.

"If you're at all familiar with K-pop, it's likely that G-Dragon is the first name that comes to mind," begins HYPEBEAST's profile on G-Dragon's success in 2015. "Having graced the Issue 6 cover of HYPEBEAST Magazine back in 2014, the South Korean pop sensation's success continues to prosper within the realms of music, fashion and culture."

The magazine then praises Big Bang's return with their MADE single album series and wildly successful 2015 world tour which saw them breaking a slew of records including hosting the largest K-pop arena tour in U.S. history.

In addition to the bounds and leaps taken in his music career in recent months, G-Dragon also remains a leader in the world of fashion and design. The pop star curated a collaborative exhibit at the Seoul Museum of Art and participated in a variety of Chanel events throughout the year.

"On top of all that, the singer-songwriter-producer visited the studio of controversial photographer Terry Richardson once again, following an exclusive collaborative capsule collection launched in tandem with Italian luxury footwear designer Giuseppe Zanotti," explained HYPEBEAST in their profile of the star.

"Without an indication of slowing down any time soon, G-Dragon will continue to tour into 2016 with Big Bang and will likely continue his global meteoric rise."

American musicians Pharrell Williams, Kanye West and A$AP Rocky were also included on the list, as were designers Alexander Wang and Raf Simons and English street artist Bansky.
