One K-pop fan club is refusing to share.
K-pop's most passionate fans have a history of extreme actions, and followers of SM Entertainment's popular boy band EXO have taken things to a new level on Instagram. Fans of the group, known collectively as EXO-Ls, have reportedly begun targeting any high-profile female that members of the group follow on the social media site.
Lesser known K-pop singers and models have become victim of the rage of EXO-L's after they've interacted with EXO's members on Instagram.
Since 2014, EXO-L's have selectively harassed female members of Instagram for being connected with EXO, primarily the group's youngest member Sehun.
In July of that year, Daeun of the K-pop girl group 2EYES deactivated her Instagram account after her friendship with EXO's Sehun become public knowledge and EXO-L's attacked her, going so far as to threaten her life.
The situation reemerged earlier this month, when EXO-L's went on a warpath because one rookie K-pop star said something about Sehun during a recent interview. Fans of the EXO member left similarly vicious comments on the account of Unicorn's Gayoung after she commented that she would like to be featured on the Korean virtual marriage show "We Got Married" with Sehun.
Less than a week after it was reported that Gayoung faced a storm of hatred from EXO fans, Australian model and popular Instagramer Lily May Mac also was the recipient of hateful comments from fans of EXO after member Chanyeol followed her on his account.
EXO's members have shown awareness of their extremely passionate, potentially violent fanbase; recently Chanyeol shared a list of users he had blocked from his phone after his number was leaked and he faced continual harassment by overzealous fans.
Other members of the group have had their accounts hacked, while others have deleted their accounts or refrained from joining the site entirely.
EXO debuted in 2012 under SM Entertainment. They are currently in the middle of their first ever North American concert tour and will perform Friday night in Chicago and end with a show in the New York City area on Sunday night.
