Because of the tendency to obsess over the time we have in life to do things, there's always desire to write letters to ourselves in the future or plant time capsules for people to find later.
But what if you could send a letter to your past self to change your current future?
Such is the set up for the "Orange" manga series, which will soon be turned into a TV anime. According to reports, the official "Orange" anime adaptation is set to premiere sometime this summer.
So far, there appears to be a good degree of excitement from manga fans about the prospect of an "Orange" anime series.
"Yes this was a well deserving series that needed an anime adaptation and this makes me very happy," said AnimeSuperStyle in an ANN forum.
According to Crunchyroll, Hiroshi Hamasaki will direct the "Orange" anime series with scripts by Yuko Kakihara. Nobuteru Yuki will design the characters and TMS Entertainment will be responsible for animation production.
For those who are not familiar with the "Orange" manga series, it was originally created by Ichigo Takano and published in "Bessatsu Magaret" in 2012. Crunchyroll is currently publishing the series digitally while Seven Seas Entertainment plans to release the complete series in two omnibus volumes.
Seven Seas Entertainment describes the story of the "Orange" manga series as follows:
"Everyone has regrets in life. So who wouldn't take the chance to change the past if given the opportunity? When sixteen-year-old Takamiya Naho receives a mysterious letter, claiming to be from her twenty-seven-year-old self, her life is suddenly thrown into flux."
It goes on:
"The letter tells her that a new transfer student by the name of Naruse Kakeru will be joining her class, and to keep her eye on him. But why? Naho must decide what to make of the letter and its cryptic warning, and what it means not only for her future, but for Kakeru's as well.
