On May 6 Psy tweeted the exciting news, his "Gentleman" video has hit the 290 million mark on YouTube.

In the afternoon on Monday Psy tweeted the news to his followers, "290mil.!! #HereWeGo" and then added a link to the official music video on YouTube.

Psy is certainly no stranger to YouTube stardom. His "Gentleman" music video is the second record-breaking song he has had on the popular website. Last year his "Gangnam Style" premiered and saw unprecedented success. "Gangnam Style" is not only the most 'liked' video on the video sharing website, but has the world record for the most views - by a long shot.

"Gentleman" followed in the footsteps of the breakout international hit and has two records to its name as well, most views in the first 24 hours on the site, and most views in a single 24-hour period.

And with "Gentleman" quickly racking up more and more views, and Psy in the midst of his worldwide promotional tour, many wonder if the sophomore single has the ability to reach the same kind of numbers as its forebearer.

While that fact is still left to be seen, one thing is for sure, "Gentleman" is an international hit whether or not it reaches the kind of recognition of "Gangnam Style."
