'Kurage No Shokudo' Anime Release Date Confirmed Alongside New Trailer [VIDEO]

Recently, the official website for the "Kurage no Shokudo" (Jellyfish Restaurant) anime began streaming a trailer for the upcoming straight to home video release of the series. Alongside the release of the trailer, it was also confirmed that the Blu-ray/DVD will be released on March 9.

Fans in ANN forum are rejoicing at the announcement of the "Kurage no Shokudo" announcement, as it has been an extremely long wait for news.

"Finally, about time this got other news. Been nearly two years since the original announcement so I might see if it's worth waiting for," said Stark700.

Others are a bit disappointed that it will not be adapted into a TV anime.

"Oh so this isn't a series. Darn," said Ali07.

Anime News Network reports that "Kurage no Shokudo" will be directed by Hiromi Taniguchi with a script written by Chika Suzumura. Taniguchi will also design the characters and ZEXCS will handle the animation production.

The "Kurage no Shokudo" anime will star the following Japanese voice cast:

Goro Kurihara as Yōtarō Misaki

Masaya Matsukaze as Arashi

Satomi Koorogi as Natsuko

Sayuri Sadaoka as Natsuko's Mother

For those who are not familiar with the "Kurage No Shokudo" anime, it is based on a light novel by Miyako Aoyama. ANN describes the story of the "Kurage no Shokudo" anime as follows:

"Yōtarō Misaki finds himself lying on the beach one day. He is picked up by Arashi, who manages a restaurant called Kurage no Shokudō. When asked who he is, the protagonist tells a lie that he lost his memory - but he remembers everything, including the fact that his twin brother died."
