Husband Of Former K-Pop Singer Lee Min Kyoung Files For Divorce

One K-pop marriage is about to bite the dust.

The husband of former Diva member Lee Min Kyoung has officially filed for divorce after only two years of marriage, reports The Korea Times.

Lee's husband, Samuel Cho, submitted the divorce papers to a California court. The divorce filing comes as Lee and Cho have been living separately since January 2014, Cho's acquaintance reportedly said.

Lee and Cho have a two-year-old daughter.

Diva was one of the first hip-hop girl groups in the K-pop scene, debuting back in 1997 and promoted for eight years until disbanding in 2005.

Lee was not part of the original three-member Diva, which consisted of leader Chae Rina, Vicky and Ji Ni. When Chae departed from the group in 1999, Lee was added and Vicky assumed the role of leader.

Lee and the rest of the new Diva trio released the Naught Diva album in 2000 and continued to pump out more albums in succeeding years. After releasing the Only Diva album, the group disbanded in order for the members to focus on solo activities.

After her idol days, Lee began focusing on a career as a musical actress, appearing in productions such as Singin' in the Rain and On Air Season 2, notes The Korea Times.
