Recently, the official website for the upcoming "My Hero Academia" anime series revealed the artists that will perform the opening and ending themes. Japanese rock bands Porno Graffitti and Brian the Sun will be performing the opening and ending songs, respectively.
As with most "My Hero Academia" news, fans are reacting with excitement.
"I'm really happy to hear that Porno Graffitti is doing the OP. I think that their sound is a good fit. I've heard a few songs by Brian the Sun and I quite liked them too. Looking promising," said Nakurawari in an ANN forum.
According to Anime News Network, the "My Hero Academia" anime series will be directed by Kenji Nagasaki. Yousuke Kuroda will handle the scripts for the series and Yoshiko Umakoshi will provide the character designs.
"My Hero Academia" was originally a manga series by Kohei Horikoshi. The series is currently running in Weekly Shonen Jump. Viz Media is simultaneously publishing the chapters and released the first volume of the manga in August.
"What would the world be like if 80 percent of the population manifested superpowers called "Quirks" at age four? Heroes and villains would be battling it out everywhere! Being a hero would mean learning to use your power, but where would you go to study? The Hero Academy of course! But what would you do if you were one of the 20 percent who were born Quirkless?"
It goes on:
"Middle school student Izuku Midoriya wants to be a hero more than anything, but he hasn't got an ounce of power in him. With no chance of ever getting into the prestigious U.A. High School for budding heroes, his life is looking more and more like a dead end. Then an encounter with All Might, the greatest hero of them all, gives him a chance to change his destiny..."
The "My Hero Academia" anime release date is set for April 3.
