'Super Lovers' Anime Release Date Revealed Alongside New Trailer [VIDEO]

Yaoi fangirls rejoice as finally, after many chapters, cliffhangers, and hopes, the "Super Lovers" manga is finally being adapted into an anime series.

Unfortunately, it remains to be seen when the next chapter of the manga comes out.

Nevertheless, the "Super Lovers" anime release date has finally been confirmed for April 6, alongside a brand new trailer. The trailer, available to view below, features the opening theme of the series "Welcome Home" by Yusuke Yata.

So far, fans are having mostly positive reactions to the new "Super Lovers" trailer. However, some are concerned that the anime will be toned down in comparison to the manga.

"Yay! It's almost here. I'm hoping we get to see more than just a blush here and a nudge nudge there. It'd be kind of boring if the anime didn't turn out to be a BL, but rather a boring shojo almost-BL like Hakkenden," said Sobe in an ANN forum.

Shinji Ishihira will direct the "Super Lovers" anime with series composition by Yoshiko Nakamura. Miki Takihara is designing the characters and Studio DEEN is handling the animation production.

Anime News Network reports the following "Super Lovers" anime Japanese voice cast:

Junko Minagawa as Ren Kaidō

Tomoaki Maeno as Haru Kaidō

Atsuko Tanaka as Haruko D. Dieckmann

Ayumu Murase as Ikuyoshi Sasaki

Jun Fukushima as Jūzen Kurosaki

Mitsuki Saiga as Kiyoka

Ryoko Shiraishi as Kiri Kondō

Takuma Terashima as Shima Kaidō

Yoko Soumi as Mikiko Kashiwagi

Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Aki Kaidō

For those who are not familiar with the "Super Lovers" anime, it is based on the original manga series by Miyuki Abe. ANN describes the story of "Super Lovers" as follows:

"The manga's story begins with a high school boy named Haru and his mother living overseas. His mother orders him to take care of and "civilize" his adoptive brother Ren, a wild young boy who dislikes talking with other people. While their relationship is adversarial at first, they grow closer as they begin to understand one another."
