'Assassination Classroom' Season 2 Voice Cast Adds Nobunaga Shimazaki And Kotono Mitsuishi

Two new Japanese voice cast members have been confirmed for the upcoming episodes of "Assassination Classroom" season two. Nobunaga Shimazaki and Kotono Mitsuishi, who will play the God of Death and Hiromi Shiota respectively, are the new cast members.

Though there's still quite a few episodes left in "Assassination Classroom" season two, the manga series that it is based on will soon come to an end. According to reports, the manga has five chapters remaining and will end in the March issue of "Weekly Shonen Jump."

According to Anime News Network, Seiji Kishi is directing the "Assassination Classroom" anime series with scripts by Makoto Uezu. Kazuaki Morita is designing the characters and Studio Lerche is responsible for the animation production.

For those who are not familiar with the "Assassination Classroom" anime series, it is based on the manga series by Yusei Matsui. Besides the anime adaptation, there are also two live action films (one that will soon be released in theaters, and two Nintendo 3DS games.

Funimation, who is streaming the "Assassination Classroom" anime series outside of Japan, describes the story of "Assassination Classroom" as follows:

"Forget about homework and pop quizzes. The students of Class 3E have a far more important assignment: kill their teacher before the end of the year! A tentacle-d sensei that moves at Mach 20 is out to conquer the classroom after destroying seventy percent of the moon."

It goes on:

"In addition to reading, writing, and arithmetic, the murderous monster behind the lectern will teach his students everything he knows about the assassination game. Should some eager beaver prove to be a quick study in killing, he or she will save Earth from extinction - and collect a hefty reward."
