Girls' Generation Sends 3,000 South Korea Culture Guidebooks to Amsterdam

Girls' Generation has appeared on South Korea's culture guidebooks.

Professor Suh Kyung Duk stated today that he has sent 3,000 copies of this guidebook to Amsterdam for the tourists.

The professor stated that these guidebooks were first passed out last year in London and would be passing them out to the tourists here in Amsterdam in the same way.

This guidebook features Girls' Generation and is written in English for their international audience. The guidebook contains information on Korea's language, food, culture and more. Having a popular global group such as Girls' Generation on the cover helps to not only bring interest to the books but also a way for them to have a souvenir.

Suh Kyung Duk stated, "Compared to Asia and the U.S., Europe is still a behind in knowing the Korean culture. That is why we are spreading the knowledge around Europe. We plan to release these guidebooks in Paris next."

Suh Kyung Duk had also previously stated that he felt that since K-Pop is so popular around the world that we should also spread the culture along with it.

This guidebook was first passed out last year at the Yeosu Expo to tourists as well as the London Olympics. Over 10,000 were passed out in London and were mostly given to foreign exchange students and tourists.

They also plan to make this guidebook into different language versions of the book as well so that they will be able to spread this guidebook even further around the globe.
