Hollywood Star Hugh Jackman Heads To Korea For 'Eddie The Eagle' Promotions

Australian actor and Hollywood star Hugh Jackman is back in South Korea to promote his newest film Eddie the Eagle

According to the Korea Herald, a press conference for the film was held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Seoul on Monday, Mar. 7 with Hugh Jackman and director Dexter Fletcher in attendance.

The sports drama film is based on the autobiography of the first British jet-skier Eddie "The Eagle" Edwards who represented Great Britain at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Calgary, Alberta. The movie stars Taron Egerton as Edwards and Jackman as his coach, Bronson Peary.

"It is a film with a lot of humor, it's a great story, a great underdog story," Jackman said at the press conference. "It's a film with a lot of heart. By the end of it, it will have you cheering and may even bring a tear to your eye. So I hope the people of Korea will love the movie as much as we loved making it."

The movie is set to premiere in Korea next month.
