Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn stepped out on the red carpet for their first public appearance together on Monday night for the Costume Institute Gala at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Woods, 37, wore a traditional tuxedo and long tie, and Vonn, 28, showed off her arms in a sleeveless white gown with sheer panels.

Tiger put his arm around the Olympic skier as they smiled for photos. The theme of the gala was Punk: Chaos to Couture, but the couple look more like a bride and groom.

Woods and Vonn attended the Met Gala as guests of Vogue; the magazine dressed both of the athletes, who declined interviews with reporters on the carpet.

Other A-list celebrities attending the fashion event included Anne Hathaway, Miley Cyrus, Nicole Richie, Rooney Mara, Jessica Alba, Sienna Miller, Sarah Jessica Parker and Katy Perry.

Woods and Vonn made their relationship official last March with a series of intimate Facebook photos. Since then, the two have been seen together often. In April, Vonn made a trip to cheer for Woods at the first round of the Masters.
