‘Sherlock’ Season 4 To Include Tom Hiddleston As Permanent Cast?

The success of newly launched series "Sherlock," starring Benedict Cumberbatch, was able to maintain its continuity as it will be going into its fourth installment early next year.

Fans have been left wanting more and a bit clueless as to what's in store for the show's fourth season. But just a few days ago, reports have surfaced mentioning Tom Hiddleston joining "Sherlock." According to these reports, the famous "Thor" main cast will be joining as a third Holmes Brother.

Jobs And Hire reported Hiddleston will star as Sherrinford, the anticipated Third Brother who hasn't been revealed yet by co-creators from the previous seasons.

This has not been confirmed yet as there was a previous statement from Mark Gatiss, co-creator of "Sherlock," in including Hiddleston as cast due to the latter's hectic schedule and other commitments. Although Gatiss expressed his confidence in the "Avengers" villain's skills as an actor, he was not very keen whether he'd be able to get in between the actor's schedule to star in "Sherlock."

As for the next season's plot, co-creator Moffat dropped some hints in an interview with Entertainment Weekly where he did mention about the power of consequences, Inquisitr reported.

"Chickens come to roost. It's dark in some ways - obviously it's great fun and a Sherlock Holmes romp and all that - but there's a sense of... things... coming back to bite you. It's not a safe, sensible way to live. It's hilarious and exhilarating some days, but some days it's going to be bloody frightening."

In addition, Mary will have more appearances this season since it was revealed previously that she was a former assassin. With this, Moffat confirmed:

"She can't just go back to what she was before. She's got to be super good at this... If we did anything else, it would be like we'd forgotten. She's the professional, sort of looking after our two bumbling amateurs."

Specific details are expected to be revealed soon as the next season of "Sherlock" approaches in January 2017.
