The fans have been waiting for a long time for the heavy metal band ''Metallica'' to release their new album 2016. It seems that the wait will be over soon as they are nearing the completion of recording the album.
Metalinjection clarified that 15 seconds of the record is available for the fans to listen to. Metallica was formed in 1981 and the current members of the band comprise of the founders vocalist/guitarist James Hetfield and drummer Lars Ulrich. Along with them they have lead guitarist Kirk Hammett and bassist Robert Trujillo who have been associated with the band for a long time.
As per the latest update, Hetfield mentioned that the band is working hard on the upcoming studio album. "It's coming near the end" is what he had to say. However, he did not talk about the release dates; however, the fans are assuming that by the end of 2016 it should be out.
In Feb. the band played at AT&T Stadium and the fans can listen to the entire show for free through live streaming. The official website confirmed about the new album 2016. Blabbermouth covered the entire story of this band. The fans have been waiting for an album after "Death Magnetic" was released in 2008.
Kirk Hammett mentioned in an interview to Rollingstone that the band's drummer Lars Ulrich has written close to 20 new songs. All these songs might make a place in the long-awaited tenth studio album. '' (The group is) moving at a pace that allows us to live our lives and not have our lifestyles change too much" he added further. "A bunch of songs, more than enough songs" but none are finished. "We're slogging away," he said. "But, you know, it's metal. It's heavy."
Ulrich in his interview to Rollingstone mentioned that ''the band doesn't want to record in a way that feels labored over and overthought."
''Kill 'Em Al'' was their first album which was released in 1983. Though the initial title of the album was supposed to be ''Metal Up Your Ass,'' later it was changed to ''Kill 'Em Al.'' ''Ride the Lightning'' the second studio album was released in Aug. 1984 and the third one ''Master of Puppets'' in Mar. 1986. MTV archived articles, allmusic talked about the initial success and bill board positions of these albums.
