Johnny Depp's upcoming movie ''Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales'' is a highly awaited movie by the fans of this franchise. This fifth instalment will be directed by Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg. Its prequel ''Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides'' made a whopping $1.046 billion in the box office.

Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, Javier Bardem as Captain Salazar, Orlando Bloom as Will Turner / Davy Jones, Brenton Thwaites as Henry Turner, Kaya Scodelario as Carina Smyth, Geoffrey Rush as Captain Hector Barbossa, Kevin McNally as Joshamee Gibbs, Stephen Graham as Scrum, Martin Klebba as Marty, Giles New and Angus Barnett as Murtogg and Mullroy, Golshifteh Farahani, David Wenham, Adam Brown, Danny Kirrane and Delroy Atkinson will be the cast of this movie.
This American fantasy swashbuckler film will be distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures and it is expected to be released on May 26, 2017 in the US. The Age mentioned that Depp has signed the contract for this movie for a fee of $90 million. Vanityfair talked in details about the role of Bloom.

''Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides'' the prequel was released on May 7, 2011 and the pre-production of the fifth instalment ''Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales'' started before the fourth instalment. Principal photography began in Australia in Feb. 2015 and the film got delayed due to budget constraints.
In other news, USA today had reported about the TV series ''The Walking Dead'' where Depp's head was on display. Metro reported that during a scene in the 12th episode of the sixth season of this TV series, a sculpted version of Depp's head was used.
