Finally the release date of ''How to Train Your Dragon 3'' is parked at Jun. 29, 2018. The fans are hoping that the project should not be stalled again as they have already waited for too long for this loved by all movie.
IMDb shows a positive popularity chart for this upcoming movie. As the fans already know, all the stars have lent their voice in this animated movie. Gerard Butler is all set to reprise the role of Stoick the Vast, Cate Blanchett as Valka, Jay Baruchel as Hiccup, Craig Ferguson as Gobber, America Ferrera as Astrid Hofferson, Jonah Hill as Snotlout Jorgenson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse as Fishlegs Ingerman, T.J. Miller and Kristen Wiig as Tuffnut and Ruffnut Thorston, fraternal twins and Djimon Hounsou as Drago Bludvist.
Since the voice cast of the instalment 2 and 3 remains the same, there should be no problem with the continuity and storyline of the movie.
''How to Train Your Dragon Franchise'' started in 2010 with the first movie ''How to Train Your Dragon.'' This movie made $494.9 million in the box office as per the reports of box office mojo. The second instalment of this franchise ''How to Train Your Dragon 2'' made a whopping $621.5 million. It was released in 2014. DreamWorks Animation is all set to release the third instalment ''How to Train Your Dragon 3'' in 2018.
The CEO of DreamWorks Animation Jeffrey Katzenberg announced in Dec. 2010 that they have plans of creating a trilogy and in future based on the demand, they might even create more movies. Empireonline reported about the details of this trilogy. ''How To Train Your Dragon is at least three: maybe more, but we know there are at least three chapters to that story'' stated Katzenberg.
"There are certain characters and situations that come into play in the second film that will become much more crucial to the story by the third" stated Dean DeBlois, the writer and director of the second and the third film. He clarified to The Hollywood Reporter that the second instalment's plot was created keeping a trilogy in mind.
Firstweekend club talked about the third instalment which was initially planned to be released in 2016, however, got stalled till 2018. In Sep. 2012, 20th Century Fox and DreamWorks Animation announced the release date for the third instalment to be on Jun. 18, 2016. It was later changed to Jun. 17, 2016. In Sep. 2014, the film's release date was moved to Jun. 9, 2017. Heyuguys, PR newswire, The Hollywood reporter and the official site of DreamWorks Animation confirmed all these date.
