Nicole Richie grey hair:  Nicole Richie, 31, has gone grey for the Met Gala. Nicole Richie shocked everyone on the red carpet for the 2013 Met Gala; the former reality TV star appeared with grey hair teased into an eerie updo. As odd as it sounds, the color looked great - and fit in with the "Punk: Chaos to Couture" theme.

Richie's grey hair color, created by her hairstylist Luke Chamberlain, popped at the punk-influenced Met Gala reception against her dark maroon lip color. The lip color was a custom shade made just for Richie by makeup artist Beau Nelson, who used a blend of Chanel Rouge Allure in Rouge Noir and MAC Lipmix in Black and Fuschia.

Richie's nails were equally stunning - to go with the coiffed gray hair, Richie sported perfectly punk burgundy and gold half-moon manicured fingertips. They were designed and executed by Kimmie Kyees, who used Gelish My Forbidden Love and Orly Luxe nail polishes.

Gaga and Kelly Osbourne have both gone grey before - we'll see if Ritchie keeps it or if the look is just temporary.
