"Dragon Ball Super" episode 36 has aired on Sunday.
Attack of the Fanboy reported that the latest installment of the series focused on the fight between Vegeta and Magetta. Last week, it was revealed that the Universe 6 fighter can produce lava inside his body.
Vados has lessened the area for the fight, causing Magetta's heat to become almost suffocating. The announcer is having difficulty in breathing inside the cube. This becomes a problem for Vegeta as well.
"It's interesting to note that even though Vegeta looks like he's physically struggling during this match, he is still just in his base Super Saiyan form," the publication wrote. "For some reason, he doesn't transform to Super Saiyan 2 or Super Saiyan Blue."
In "Dragon Ball Super" episode 36, Vegeta unleashed his Galick Gun attack. However, it was no match against Magetta's lava. One scene showed the Saiyan Prince being caught off guard, allowing his opponent to push him out of the ring with a bat.
He does not get eliminated but Magetta's tactic did succeed in making the Saiyan Prince angry. Vegeta transforms with all his might, destroying the cube in the process.
"Dragon Ball Super" episode 36 featured Vegeta going for his powerful Final Flash attack. The blasts caused the Universe 6 fighter to get woozy and the Saiyan Prince punched him out of the ring.
Vegeta is declared as the winner. He will be battling Cabba in "Dragon Ball Super" episode 37.
According to YHM, "Dragon Ball Super" episode 36 is entitled "An Unexpectedly Tricky Opponent!? Vegeta's Explosion of Rage!"
"Vegeta defeated Frost with one merciless attack," the plot synopsis stated.
"But, a new rule was established for the remaining matches. From now on, as soon as one touches the barrier, even in midair, it will be an "out-of-bounds loss". The next opponent of Vegeta is Magetta, the Metalman. With a sturdy body and diverse attacks, he gets Vegeta cornered..."
