CD Projekt Red, the makers of ''The Witcher 3'' series of games were elated when they got to know ''The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt'' got seven nominations for the BAFTA awards. Fans are also waiting for the release of ''Cyberpunk 2077'' for a long time now.

The official Facebook page of CD Projekt Red confirmed this news. ''Categories include: Artistic Achievement, Audio Achievement, Best Game, Game Design, Story, Performer, Persistent Game'' was updated on the site.

Even last year in 2015 ''Witcher 3: Wild Hunt'' had led the game awards in various categories. PC gamer confirmed that ''The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt'' got seven nominations for ''The Game Awards 2015.'' ''One of the things I like about the Game Awards as opposed to the VGAs is that it doesn't categorize games by platform, so you don't end up with situations like that of 2013, when BioShock Infinite was up for Game of the Year and best Xbox game, but was somehow omitted entirely from the PC category. Game Award categories are platform-agnostic: The Best RPG category, for instance, includes PC-exclusive, PS4-exclusive, and multiplatform games'' the author of the article wrote.

"Cyberpunk 2077" for PS4, PC and Xbox One is in the development stage and is expected to be released in Dec. 2016. The latest news states that the release date is pushed to 2017. The reason for delay as stated by Adam Badowski (CD Projekt Red's managing director) is mainly due to the fact that the developers want to give an unparalleled experience to the gamers and hence are developing and testing a great game with "multiplayer features."

Gamespot has been coming up with regular updates about the development phase of ''Cyberpunk 2077.'' They have uploaded a video with the gameplay and what the gamers can expect from this game. ''Badowski said the game is still "a long ways away" from launch, and further stressed that CD Projekt Red still has "a lot of work to do" to make it a "truly outstanding game" is what they mentioned.

Also the developers will be working on ''Witcher 4'' after releasing "Cyberpunk 2077." So will ''Cyberpunk 2077'' too rule the gaming award arenas?
