The fans of ''Sword Art Online'' franchise are waiting for the release of the movie with bated breath. The official website revealed some details about the upcoming movie during the Dengeki Bunko Spring Festival 2016 which was held on Mar. 13, 2016. The name of the movie will be ''Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale.''
The original creator Reki Kawahara, and staff member Shingo Adachi (Character Design), spoke in details about the upcoming film at the festival. Along with the movie, there seems to be a game too. ''With abec's key visual projected onscreen behind him, Mr. Miki then began to explain the concept of the new game, Ordinal Scale, and the new device it's controlled by - the Augma'' stated the official site.
Haruka Tomatsu will play the role of Asuna and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka will play the role of Kirito in the upcoming movie and the plot will be different from the anime series which Kawahara is writing now. ''The AR (Augmented Reality) Type Information Terminal (Augma) is a wearable multi-device that looks like a pair of small headphones. It is far more compact than the VR machine known as the Amusphere. Instead of a full-dive function, the Augma boasts the ability to enhance AR (Augmented Reality) to the maximum. Because it can transmit visual, auditory, and tactile information to the wearer while awake, more and more users have embraced it as a way to enjoy exercise and health management as a game'' the festival revealed more information about this game.
The fans are already very happy with the music collection ''Moon and Shadow'' and are waiting for the ''Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization'' the video game for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita which is scheduled to be launched in 2016.
