KCON LA To Bring More Fun and Exciting Activities This Year

As summer approaches, so does KCON L.A. The weekend of July 29-31 will mark the annual All Things Hallyu convention with exhibitions, panels and concerts taking place.

While a majority of fans will flock over the concert and meet and greets during the convention, it was announced that KCON LA has more to bring this year for fans to experience.

In a press release, L.A. will have a Food Street, Beauty Block and E-Sports Tournament:

"The convention will also feature a Beauty Block, where professionals in Korean beauty will provide guests with the opportunity to learn tips and tricks from some of the biggest professionals in Korean beauty, as well as purchase the most popular Korean cosmetic brands all in one place.

LA Live will house many different activations surrounding the popular Korean trend of E-Sports, where attendees will be able to experience the thrill of the sport sweeping the nation. They will be able to watch the top competitors in E-Sports compete against each other, play some of the most popular games, and more.

KCON is also partnering with KTOWN Night Market to bring Food Street to KCON, taking over Chick Hearn Court. Food Street will bring over 50 delicious and popular food choices to attendees. KTOWN Night Market has been a pioneer for Korean food fests in the LA area, with their first event in 2014 attracting over 80,000 food enthusiasts to Korea Town. The Food Street will be free to visit, and will be open to the public."

First kicking off Los Angeles in 2012 and attended by 10,000 fans, KCON has been the center of bringing all things Hallyu.

Just last year, KCON was brought to both coasts of the U.S. in Los Angeles and Newark, NJ. The L.A. convention expanded to three days and attracted 58,000 fans along with artists like GOT7, SISTAR, Shinhwa, AOA, Zion.T & Crush performing. While Newark garnered 17,000 fans in attendance and had Girls' Generation, AOA, VIXX and Teen Top perform for their first KCON.
