After successful promotions with "Dream Girl," I.O.I plans to make a comeback with sub-units.
According to a statement reported by Naver on Jun. 5, a representative of YMC Entertainment is said to make an announcement about the group's future plans and sub-units on the week of June 6-12
Although I.O.I has completed promotions for "Dream Girls," they still have to film advertisements and fulfill other obligations as a full group.
Regarding the group's next full comeback with all 11 members, YMC revealed, "we will work with each member's agency to designate an appropriate time for a full group comeback."
Because I.O.I is a project group that is set to be dissolved in Jan. 2017, it is likely that the group will only have time for one full comeback.
With the group currently on hiatus, some of the members have returned to their respective agencies to pursue solo and group activities there. MBK Entertainment's Jung Chaeyeon will head back to her group DIA to rejoin promotions with them, while Pledis Entertainment trainees Im Nayeong and Ju Gyeol-gyeong will be performing with Pledis girl group "Pledis Girls."
Although their comeback with the full roster of 11 members may be far off, IOI fans can still to look forward to the group's subunit promotions this summer.
