Highly anticipated drama 'Entourage' will premiere next week on tvN; Setting new record in broadcasting history

The remake of HBO's top-rated drama "Entourage" will premiere next week on tvN. IPrior to its debut, the drama has already set a record in Korean broadcasting history, as 12 countries have been registered to air the drama.

"Entourage" will premiere on Nov. 4 as the Friday and Saturday night drama. tvN purchased the adaptation right of the popular HBO drama in 2015. The Korean version will have a slightly similar story to the HBO version with Seo Kang Joon, Park Jung Min, "Giraffe" Lee Kwang Soo, and Lee Dong Hwi as the main cast.

Seo is cast as the rising Korean young actor Young-Bin, an equivalent of Vincent Chase in the original HBO series. Young-Bin is accompanied by Ho-Jin (Park), Joon (Kwang-Soo) and Geo-Book (Dong-Hwi).

Veteran actor Cho Jin-Woong is cast as Kim Eun-Gab, the CEO of entertainment agency that managed Young-Bin, as an equivalent of the memorable Ari Gold. It will be interesting to see how Cho can match the performance of Jeremy Piven who becomes the iconic agent in eight seasons of "Entourage."

The surmounting anticipation of the "Entourage" making the drama set a new record in broadcasting history as reported by Focus News. Up to now there are 12 countries that will air the drama which have a long list of actors in cameo appearance.

Previously, the drama was reported to break the record early October. "Entourage" is scheduled to air in nine different countries across Asia, according to KPop Herald. The registered countries are Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Cambodia, Myanmar.

While in China, "Entourage" will be aired simultaneously through Tencent video streaming service. Mnet Japan will also air the drama in Japan. Australia is reported to also air the highly anticipated drama.
