Girl Groups Debut That Deserves More Recognition: Minx, 4Ten, Berry Good and Melody Day

There are tons of newly debut kpop girl groups in the music industry of Korea every year. As KPOP is now globally known, the entertainment companies are trying to get their girl groups be known. However, not all girl groups get the fame they want.

Here are some talented girl groups that never really made it:

Minx - they are a girl group from Happy Face Entertainment that debuted in 2014 and is the sister group of Dal Shabet. The group has an overall mischievous tomboy concept and consists of five members: Jiyoo, Su-A, Siyeon, Yoohyeon, and Dami. Minx released their debut single "Why Did You Come To My Home" on September 18, 2014. They are a fairly good group but did not make an impact just like their sister group. They released "Love Shake" as a comeback and never were heard of after that.

The group consists of talented members and their songs are not bad. In fact, I really liked their debut song. One thing I think Happy Face should do first is give them another comeback. I think the group could do really well if they are given a song like their debut again.

Watch them on "Kpopolous".

Listen to their cover of Beyonce's "EntdOf Time" Plus a dance cover of Fifth Harmony's "Boss"

4Ten - is a girl group formed in 2014 by Jungle Entertainment. They debuted with "Tornado" then followed it up with "Why". They are not like most girl group as their song is not really categorized as cute or innocent or sexy, they are more on the hip hop side. However, after two songs, Jungle Entertainment announced that TEM and Eujin left the group and three new members: Heeo, Yun and Hajeong were added.

Then, the group changed their name to Poten. The group released their third digital single "Go Easy" before another member left them, Hajeong. 4Ten went back to their original name then released first mini-album "Jack of All Trades" on February 23. On September 11th, member Yun announced on their fan cafe that she has had to get surgery, which was the reason that a comeback was delayed.

I really like 4Ten when they debuted. Their song "Tornado", I think, made an impact for a rookie especially on the international side since Tem is an English speaker. Too bad she already left the group.

Berry Good - is a girl group that debuted in 2014 too. They are from Asia Bridge Entertainment. The group current line-up consists of Taeha, Johyun, Seoyul, Daye, Sehyung and Gowoon after many member changes. They released debut single "Love Letter" in May 2014. They followed that up with "Because of You" and "My First Love". Their songs are fun and definitely catchy plus they are colorful.

Earlier this year, they released their very first album "Vey Berry" with title track "Angel" after a successful crown funding. They released another mini album after another crowd funding from Makestar. "Don't Believe" is the title track of their "Glory" mini album. They are currently promoting.

I am not really a fan of Berry Good but their songs are really fun. I see many kpop fans especially international fans who like them.

Melody Day - is a girl group formed in 2012 by Viewga Entertainment. The group officially debuted in 2014, and has to date released four EPs and featured on soundtracks for dramas such as "Bridal Mask", "Cheongdam-dong Alice", "Missing You", "My Daughter Seo-young", "The King of Dramas"," I Can Hear Your Voice", "Master's Sun", and "Pretty Man".

They are vocally talented girl group with really nice songs. Melody Day has also featured Got7's Junior for their song "Speed Up" and VIXX's Ravi for their digital single "When It Rains". Their latest song is "Color" which was released in July of this year.

Now, Melody Day is like Spica, vocally talented group but never goes anywhere. I think the company needs to step up their game. I really liked their song "#LoveMe" and I think they can make it if they will go to more variety shows like what they did with ChaHee.
