Diplo has been known to collaborate with numerous artists such as Beyonce, Madonna, Missy Elliott, Gwen Stefani, Chris Brown, Shakira, Usher, Big Sean, Snoop Dogg, Ellie Goulding and more. He is also known for having a publicized relationship with Katy Perry. As reported by SBS Popasia, the 38-year old has also collaborated with Korean superstars and YG artists CL and G-Dragon. So it doesn't really come as shocking that 'BLACKPINK is in his area too.'
BLACKPINK, on the other hand, is still a rookie idol group but they're already drawing quite the attention to themselves. After a highly successful debut earlier this year with Square One which featured chart topping singles 'Boombayah' and 'Whistle', the group finally made a comeback this November. Their follow up album Square Two, which features the singles 'Playing with Fire' and 'Stay', has performed quite well in the charts and has even managed to chart at several Billboard charts.
With their stunning music videos, edgy performances and catchy songs, it's impossible not to like BLACKPINK. And the girl group is already expected to follow in the footsteps of their YG seniors, one of the most successful girl groups in South Korea, 2NE1.
If BLACKPINK is able to sustain this wonderful momentum, you can expect them to be the next 'IT' girls of k-pop.
