Savannah Guthrie is engaged! Guthrie, the co-host of the Today show, revealed that she was engaged on Monday morning alongside Matt Lauer and the rest of the NBC morning show cast.

Savannah Guthrie's boyfriend of four years proposed over Mother's Day weekend to the news anchor. Guthrie's now-fiancé, Michael Feldman, is 44 years old, and is a political consultant and former Al Gore advisor.

Guthrie said, "I got engaged over the weekend. I just came in wearing this ring, hoping one of my colleagues would notice...and no one noticed!"

Guthrie continued, "We've been together for four years so, as he said, no one will accuse us of rushing into anything."

Attempting to make amends for his lack of observation, Matt Lauer said, "Good for you and congratulations to Mr. Feldman. He's a great guy."

"Today throws a wedding!" Al Roker joked.

Guthrie nipped that idea at the bud, responding, "Don't even think about it."

Savannah Guthrie told Kathie Lee and Hoda later on the show that she and Feldman had been vacationing on Turks and Caicos Islands when he proposed.

The soon-to-be bride didn't realize what was happening at first. "I only realized when he brought out the ring box. I was just so overcome."

Guthrie was formerly married to BBC News presenter Mark Orchard from 2005 to 2009.

Savannah spoke to Vogue last year about her hopes for a family after her divorce from Orchard. "I imagine people might look at me and think, 'Oh, she has been single-mindedly working on her career all these years and those family issues have fallen by the wayside,' but that is absolutely not the case," Guthrie said.

"I would never put my job before my family. I have all the same hopes that most women have. I want to get married and have kids; it just hasn't happened."

Now that Guthrie's engaged, one part of of that hope is taken care of. Hopefully all goes well with the 'Today' co-host, and she'll get her second wish soon.
