“The K2” wraps up its final episode; Yoona shares her experience to play a challenging role

tvN thriller drama “The K2” ends with a two episode long of ticking time bomb that exploded. While the lead actress Yoona shares her experience to play a completely different and challenging role as Anna.

“The K2” ended its story with a happy ending for Anna and Je-Ha. Prior to the ending, a turmoil in the JSS security service office resulted an exploding time bomb in the Cloud Nine level of the office.

The final episode ends with a kissing scene between Anna and Je-Ha. Unfortunately, the audience was unable to receive the answer from Je-Ha when Anna asked Je-Ha what his real name is. Production team of “The K2” doesn’t want to break the joy by letting out his real name.

Ending of the drama has given a relieve to Yoona, the cast of Anna, as she revealed in an interview with Yonhap News Agency. She admitted that the character she played is a challenging one and that is the reason she took the role. Therefore, ending the drama is such a relieve.

Yoona, the member of idol group Girl’s Generation, took on the challenge to play a mentally unstable girl who suffers after seeing her mother had been murdered before her eyes. She tried to breakout from the image of an eye candy with the serious character.

“Until now, I only did a sweet like candy characters in my acting job,” Yoona said. “I've been wondering what would it be like play a completely different character. "

Meanwhile her counterpart, Ji Chang-Wook in an interview with Korea Daily, said that Yoona is such a lovable person. Ji said that he tried to make her comfortable with the kissing scene and make the shooting convenient.
