If you have been captivated by Baekhyun and Suzy's duet, "Dream", well you'd be delighted to know that the EXO and Miss A member are set to perform their amazing duet on the 2016 Mnet Asian Music Awards for the first time!
"Dream" was released early January of 2016 and had ranked impressively in several music charts, achieving all-kill status and took first place in "Music Bank" and "Inkigayo" for a total number of 5 times. But unfortunately, fans of the two have never gotten the chance to see the Baekhyun and Suzy perform their duet together on stage although the song was performed by Baekhyun's fellow EXO member Chanyeol and Suzy's label mate Nayeon during a special episode of "Music Bank" back in June.
Now, Allkpop confirms that the two will in fact be performing their hit single together on the MAMA stage, almost a year after the song was released. Dream is basically about a couple who are in the midst of falling in love and it was released by SM Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, Choongang ICS and Mystic Entertainment.
The song itself is nominated for the "Song of the Year" category while Baekhyun and Suzy are nominated for "Best Collaboration."
In other news, iTech Post reports that American rapper Wiz Khalifa will also be performing on the MAMA stage which would be held at the Asia-World Expo in Hong Kong. Wiz Khalifa is a renowned rapper in the US and is also a hip-hop icon. His most notable songs would include "Black and Yellow" and "See You Again" which also happens to be the soundtrack for "Furious 7". The rapper is said to perform with a k-pop artist but as of yet, the identity of this k-pop artist is yet to be revealed.
YG Entertainment had earlier confirmed that none of their artists would be attending the event and while this may be the case, there are still loads of other artists and performances that are sure to excite the fans.
