Ko So-Young will return to drama in KBS ‘Perfect Wife’

Actress Ko So-Young will return to drama after 10 years to play in the KBS drama "Perfect Wife" scheduled to air February 2017.

News of her comeback was first reported by Korea Daily on Monday, Nov. 28. She was reported to consider the offer to return to acting after 10 years of absent.

The drama "Perfect Wife" is written by playwright Yoon Kyung-Ah, whose work is the successful drama "All About My Mom" aired on KBS early this year. She has a specialty to craft a good story about the struggle of an ordinary woman. Such as "All About My Mom," which tells the story about a mother and daughter that doesn't have a good relationship, but soon their relationship gradually improves as the daughter learns from the hardship she undergoes with her mother in-law.

"Perfect Wife" is scheduled to air on February 2017 after the period drama "Hwarang" ends. It tells the story of a middle-aged woman Shi Jae-Bok (Ko) who tries to dig her inner strength to endure the hardship.
Production studio has approached actress Cho Yeo-Jung to play with Ko in the "Perfect Wife" as reported by Osen. However, Cho hasn't given definitive answer to join the cast.

Cho is known for her role in the KBS mystery drama "Baby Sitter" in 2016. The 35-year old actress is well known to play in many romantic comedy dramas such as tvN "I Need Romance" and KBS "Haeundae Lovers." This will be her first time to work together with Ko.

As for Ko, latest appearance of the 44-year old actress was in the 2007 KBS romantic drama "Blue Fish" where she played as the violinist who searched for true love. Afterward she went hiatus and get married to the Korean most famous actor Jang Dong-Geun in 2010. She gave birth to their first son on October 4, 2010 and their daughter on February 25, 2014.
