Young actor Ji Yoon-Ho proves himself as a talented actor in the KBS drama "Sweet Stranger and Me.' He showed his funny side to play as Hong Mandoo's employee.
The 25-year old actor was previously playing in the tvN drama "Cheese in the Trap" to play a sly and creepy student. This time he played as a funny and talkative employee who help Ko Nam-Gil running the Hong Mandoo restaurant.
According to a press release from KBS, Ji was often camera conscious during shooting which often led to retake. However, his acting performance and realistic expression helped to lighten the mood in the drama.
"Sweet Stranger and Me" is his fifth drama project since his debut in 2011 to play as supporting role in the comedy-drama "Bolder by Day." Ji started to gain recognition with his acting skill in the "Cheese in the Trap" playing opposite Park Hae-Jin and Kim Go-Eun.
His comic role in "Sweet Stranger and Me" helped the drama from plunging further in viewership ratings. According to Seoul Daily News, his character helped the drama to gain viewers.
Meanwhile, the drama has sunk further in its ratings. Entering the sixth week of airing, it now hit the lowest point with 3.5% in the AGB Nielsen Korea for Episode 12. In the TnMS, the drama has plunged even lower with 3.2%.
KBS has tried hard to lift the rating by publishing a promotional image of its main characters Kim Young-Kwang to attract female audiences. But it was not effective to elevate its ratings.
The seventh-week episodes of "Sweet Stranger and Me" will air on Dec. 5 and 6, airing its Episode 13 and 14 on KBS2. International viewers can tune into the KBS World TV for English subtitle.
