The rookie boy group has captured many hearts as they, once again, has surpassed the 100,000 album sales for their newest album, "Going Seventeen".
The boys of Seventeen has released their mini album "Going Seventeen" on December 5, and it has three different versions. The different versions are called "Make a Wish" for the performance team, "Make It Happen" for the vocals team, and "Make the Seventeen" for the rapper line.
The three versions are all charted in Hanteo. It took the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th places. All are counted separately, and the totaled one is in the first place. Seventeen's "Going Seventeen" album took the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th places in Hanteo for the album sales for the week of December 5th to December 11th.
Seventeen sold 131,998 copies for the first week. It is incredible especially for a group that's only over 1.5 years old.
Seventeen fans, or also known as Carats, are more amazing as they are the ones who placed Seventeen at the top of Hanteo album charts.
Previously, their "Love & Letter" album which came out on April 25 of this year sold 80,285 copies in that first week of its release. It also had sold over 150,000 copies during the pre-order. It also ranked number one on Hanteo for the 1st week of May.
"Love & Letter" is SEVENTEEN's first complete album since their debut last year and comes in two versions. The "Love" version has sold 39,849 copies while the "Letter" version has sold 40,436 copies.
They have broken their record for the first week of album sales with this new album.
Moreover, Seventeen is ranked with EXO and BTS for K-Pop groups with highest album sales. They are third after EXO and BTS.
As of the moment, Seventeen's "Boom Boom" music video has now almost four million views on their official channel and two million on 1theK's channel.
