31 Shows Canceled by Major Networks, Is Your Favorite Show Coming Back?

Sadly, it is that time of the year when your favorite show may have been cancelled. This year has shown that even with cult followings, many shows were not able to withstand the network executive's final hack.

NBC cancelled many comedies, including "1600 Penn," which was only on air for five months. The show was not even given a full season to develop.

"Up All Night," was also cancelled, which was a safe assumption for many after star Christina Applegate left the show in February.

Other shows included in the cancellations for NBC include "Smash," "The New Normal," "Rock Center with Brian Williams," "Deception," "Animal Practice," "Do No Harm," and "Guys With Kids."

Many fans will be pleased to hear that "Community," "Law and Order: SVU," "Grimm," "Parenthood," and "The Voice," will all be returning for another season.

One of the first show's to go at ABC was the comedy hit, "Happy Endings." This show will be sorely lost, and like many primetime comedies, may have just been a little to early for it's time. But don't worry "Happy Endings," fans, "Arrested Development" was cut prematurely as well, and we've all seen what happened with that brilliant show.

Other cancelled ABC shows include, "666 Park Avenue," " Body of Proof," "Malibu Country," "Red Widow," "Family Tools," and "How to Live With Your Parents (For the Rest of Your Life)," just to name a few.

As for CBS, they seemed to be a little more lenient with the cancellations. CBS cancelled "Rules of Engagement," "CSI:NY," "Vegas," "Golden Boy," "Made in Jersey," and "The Job."

"The Big Bang Theory," "How I Met Your Mother," "Two and a Half Men," and "Criminal Minds" are all in the clear.

FOX cancelled only "Ben and Kate," "Touch," " and "The Mob Doctor." Don't worry "Glee" fans, you still have at least one more season of show-stopping cover songs paired with aptly hilarious dialogue.
