Well, BTS blood, sweat, and tears are paying off before the year ends as they had another remarkable achievement to date.
As if being recognized by international music bodies like Billboard is not enough, BTS continues to make some fire burning music as they topped the "Social 50" chart of Billboard not only for a week, but for three straight weeks.
So, what's the "Social 50" chart and why the fuzz? As described by All Kpop, the said chart by Billboard acknowledges and ranks the trending and most active musicians and artists not just in one country but all over the world. This popularity is measured by Billboard through the artist's following in the worldwide web alongside their page views and song plays.
For three consecutive weeks, BTS beat international artists like Ariana Grande and The Weeknd who both tagged behind on the second spots. This is a great achievement for any Korean artist especially for BTS who only debuted in 2013.
Moreover, M Wave noted that while BTS sits at the top of the "Social 50" chart, the group's second album "Wings" is also doing a good job on the Billboard "World Albums" chart as it is currently ranked at number 6 and is on the top 10 of the said chart for an astounding record of nine straight weeks. Furthermore, BTS is also number 25 on the "Artist 100" chart of Billboard.
Indeed, 2016 seems to be the year of BTS as they swept major awards in recently concluded award giving bodies such as the Mnet Asian Music Awards, Melon Music Awards, and the Asian Artist Awards.
As a way to thank their fans, Jungkook, J-Hope, Rap Monster, V, Jin, Jimin, and Suga will be having their world tour, "The Wings Tour", next year which will kick off in Seoul on February 18 to 19.
