Following his formal separation from the k-pop boy band WINNER, Nam Tae Hyun had finally made his first appearance.
November was definitely the worst month for YG fans all around the globe. Sure it may be the month when BLACKPINK had made their first ever comeback as a group but it is also the time YG Entertainment announced that Nam Tae Hyun has officially departed from WINNER. Further hearts were made even more broken when they also announced that the legendary k-pop group 2NE1 had officially disbanded.
For Nam Tae Hyun, many fans have speculated that the 22-year old singer would part ways with his group after YG had suspended all of WINNER's activities and promotions due to Nam's staggering mental health. According to YG, Nam Tae Hyun has been under therapy in order for him to get better. However, it was also revealed that the singer had been suffering from mental illness long before he debuted with WINNER and even before his trainee days. YG also acknowledges the stresses of WINNER's promotions and activities as a contributing factor towards Nam Tae Hyun's mental health decline.
During his break, Nam had been quite active on his SNS. Sadly though, after it was revealed that he would be leaving WINNER, Koreaboo reports that the reason behind his departure from the group is because of the fact that they cannot predict when he would be able to recover and thus the group would have to continue on without him.
After leaving WINNER and his contract with YG getting cancelled, fans have been wondering what his plans were. Just recently though, Nam Tae Hyun was spotted in a club in Seoul's Gangnam District where he performed a one-hour set as a DJ.
According to Soompi, fans who have heard of Nam's appearance on the club had patiently lined up outside the club just to see the young singer.
During his set, fans have commented how healthy and cheerful he looked while DJ-ing at the club. Whether or not this would be the career path Nam Tae Hyun has decided to take is still up for debate. However, it is nice to know that he hasn't given up on his dreams just yet.
