Song Joong Ki does a work for which he gets appreciation from everywhere. As reported in soompi, on December 23 the actor gifted the members of the staff with scented candles. There were about 500 staff members in 'Battleship Island'. He spent 25 million won or $42 each for this thanksgiving.
The thing which was unique about this gift was that the actor did not just distribute the gift to the mass but the 31-year-old actor gave each scented candle with a personally handwritten message on it. Every staff member was touched by this gesture made by Song Joong Ki. It is the way of expressing his gratitude towards the staff members for sharing the joy and sorrows during the movie.
After he finished 'Descendants of the Sun' the actor was quite busy with the fan meets in China's different cities. Just after that, he had to begin shoot for 'Battleship Island'. This movie is directed by Ryoo Seung-Wan.
The story of the movie is about the period during Japanese colonial, roughly 400 Korean people were forced to Battleship Island to mine for coal, attempt to escape. The cast includes Hwang Jung-Min (Lee Kang-Ok), So Ji-Sub (Choi Chil-Sung) and Song Joong-Ki (Park Moo-Young).
As reported in Yibada, Song Joong-Ki who is playing the role of Park Moo-Young is an independent fighter who infiltrated Hashima island in order to rescue people working then for the independence from imperial Japan. While Hwang Jung-Min is a bandmaster at Kyungsung Hotel who goes to Japan to protect his daughter but he gets into Battleship island. So Ji-Sub is the top fighter in Kyungsung who creates few troubles on "Battleship Island".
The movie is scheduled to be screened in 2018. Apart from this movie by Song Joon-Ki, his fans are also waiting for his upcoming movie 'Train to Busan 2' in which he is playing the role of a zombie.
