One thing we can be thankful for in 2016, is our idols coming home. JYJ's Jaejoong and Super Junior's Sungmin were released from their 2 year mandatory military service on Friday. Fans flocked to the base, braving the 10° Celsius weather, to get a glimpse of the boys.
More than 500 local and foreign fans gathered in front of Jaejoong's army division, with some holding placards that read "We've been waiting, Jaejoong" and "New start JJ". Jaejoong, who served in the 55th army division, will be holding a fan meeting this Saturday and had the following to say:
"I was able to complete my duties safely thanks to my comrades and people who have been cheering for me."
Sungmin's wife, Kim Sa Eun, posted on Instagram, sharing her joy for her his return home just in time for the new year. She posted a photo of a bouquet of flowers with the caption "Congratulations". Sungmin had served in the 17th Division at Bupyeong District in Incheon.
