Before listening to the album I have high hopes because I know Starship values their song production and most of their idol groups' b side tracks are nice.
"I Wish" - "I Wish" is nice but it is a down grade from the amazing "Secret". "Secret" was so good that this song sounds so mediocre. However, the more I listen to it, the more I am liking it.
"Baby Come To Me" sounds like "I Wish" but more innocent. It has that preppy sound that many kpop fans love. It reminds me so much of Apink songs (not in a bad way). Nothing new about this song.
"Say Yes" is probably the nicest song out of the album. I love the acoustic guitar! It is your chill in a café type of song. The voices of the members are really sweet it totally fits the songs.
"Perfect!" is another cutesy song in this album. The beat is really nice but the members voices are too cute for my taste. Personally, I am not a fan of this type of song, but I think many are enjoying it so good job for them.
"Hug U" is probably the best song in this album. It is another chill song that you can listen to in a rainy day or when you are in a café resting and doing nothing. However, I still do not like how they make their voices smaller than how it usually sound.
The last song is just a Chinese version of "I Wish". It actually sounds nice.
I guess my expectation for WJSN was too high that I am kind of disappointed with this album. I wish Starship would not follow other agencies with making their groups do the cute voices, especially Dawon. Her voice is deep and it is great that way. Also, they have Yeonjung, why the heck not use her voice?!
Also, maybe Exy should try singing because not every song needs a rap. She is a great rapper but Starship should make a song that her rap would be needed not with this Cosmic Girls song.
All in all, for a kpop girl group, this album is nice. I will give this 3.5 out of 5.
