IOI Earns 8 Million USD In Less Than A Year

The almost perfect girl group, IOI, has earned an approximate of a whooping eight million US dollars just last year!

The girl group, which sadly will disband this month, has not only earned those money but also the hearts of many. According to Allkpop, reports have stated that IOI may be raking in over 10,000,000,000 KR₩ (approximately 8,400,000 USD) by the end of their promotions.

IOI has a total of 10 group endorsements as a group, and that alone has made them earn 2,500,000,000 KR₩ (approximately 2 million USD). Apart from those group endorsements, most members have signed deal individually and that was not included in the revenue stated.

Also, IOI has done tons of pictorials and photo shoots so that alone has 30,000,000 KR₩ (approximately 25,000 USD). Music related, IOI has released three title tracks, their debut song "Dream Girls", their unit song "Whatta Man", and their latest hit "Very Very Very". The three songs alone earned around 1,200,000,000 KR₩ (approximately 1 million U$D).

Lastly, IOI performed in many events and places so that has revenue too. IOI earned around 1,000,000,000 KR₩ (approximately 800,000 U$D). If added the individual earnings of each member from promotions in their respective groups, broadcast activities, and more, it will definitely amount to over 10,000,000,000 KR₩.

However, not all those money will go to the pockets of the members. IOI's earnings will only be half or 50% of everything. 25% will go to CJ E&M, the creator of "Produce 101"while the remaining 25% will go to YMC Entertainment, who was in charge of managing the group throughout the past year.

Sadly, IOI will disband soon so that earnings will not increase. IOI officially began promoting under the name IOI last April. IOI will be disbanding this January, after their domestic farewell concerts "Time Slip - IOI" which will happen from January 20-22.

Meanwhile, Kpopstarz has reported that IOI was chosen by Billboard as the best kpop group to debut last year. It looks like they were right as IOI is really a group that is sought after in every entertainment industry.

On the other hand, MNET is going to make season 2 of "Produce 101", this time with boys.
