Jellyfish Entertainment formed VIXX which is a six member South Korean boy band. In Korean, the word is pronounced as "vicks". VIXX stands for Voice, Visual, Value in Excelsis. In Mnet's survival reality show, MyDOL all the members participated and were selected via an elimination system through viewer votes.
Viewer votes enabled to select the name of the group, VIXX. Leo, N, Ken, Ravi, Hongbin and Hyuk are the members of VIXX group.
The original VIXX members were 6 out of 10 contestants featured in the Mnet survival reality show MyDOL before their official launch. The members made guest appearances before the launch in the music videos of fellow artists under Jellyfish Entertainment.
On May 24, 2010, on M! Countdown, VIXX debuted with their first single, "Super Hero". On July 27 their first overseas performance was at the Otakon convention in Baltimore, Maryland.
VIXX released their second single album on August 14 with the song "Rock Ur Body", where Sistar's Dasom appeared in the music video.
On September 12, 2012, VIXX was part of Jellyfish Entertainment's first live concert Jellyfish Live at Tokyo's Zepp Diver City in Japan. On October 13, the group attended KCON 2012. In Jellyfish Entertainment's winter project, Jelly Christmas 2012 Heart Project VIXX participated with their label mates Lee Seok Hoon, Park Hyo Shin, Seo in Guk and Sung Si Kyung. On December 5, 2012, the title track, "Because it's Christmas" was released.
For the first mini-album 'R.EALIZE' VIXX's Ravi has dropped an MV "Bomb".
San E features the song and the MV is lit. San E is a South Korean rapper contracted under Brand New Music. He had signed to JYP entertainment where he was the label's first solo rapper In the Korean music mainstream he is one of the most successful rappers.
Ravi has shown his talent as he has personally produced, arranged and composed all the songs on his mini-album.
