Goo Hara Up Next for New Drama by Director of 'That Winter'

KARA's Goo Hara will be leading the next drama for director Kim Kyu Tae who directed the recent hit, 'That Winter, The Wind Blows.'

According to sources, Goo Hara has decided to go onboard as a cast member for a short drama scheduled to air this September. The drama is reportedly the first of many short dramas in the making, as there has been a recent push to revive the lost production of short dramas that feature five to ten episodes. Goo Hara's drama is set to have five episodes. It will first air in Korea and move to Japanese air waves.

Goo Hara will play a college student diagnosed with pancreatic cancer who lives each day crossing off her bucket list, a to-do list people often make when death is imminent. During her final trip near the end of her life, she meets a suicidal man and find romance where and when she least expected it.

Earlier in 2011, Goo Hara debuted in 'City Hunter' as the daughter of the president. Since then, she has been focused on album activities with KARA and this will be her first lead role.

The members of KARA are actively pursuing their individual careers at the moment. Han Seungyeon debuted in drama 'Jang Ok Jung' while Park Kyuri also took a lead role on drama 'Nail Shop Paris.'
