It looks like Girls' Generation member, Seohyun, is going to be very busy this year. The youngest member of Girls' Generation recently released her solo album, following the footsteps of fellow group members, Tiffany and Taeyeon.
Aside from her first solo album, Seohyun is also busy with a new Korean drama entitle "Ruby Ruby Love." According to Soompi, the newest Korean web drama, "Ruby Ruby Love," is Girls' Generation Seohyun's first ever lead role.
In a V Live broadcast on January 18, Seohyun shared to all her fans how excited she is for her upcoming role in "Ruby Ruby Love." "After 'Ruby Ruby Love' first aired, I kept hearing how funny it was," Seohyun said. "I was really proud."
In "Ruby Ruby Love," Seohyun plays the role of the titular character who rises above social pressure and anxiety with her cheery and bright personality. "Ruby Ruby Love" tells the story of a socially awkward lady who accidentally stumbles upon a magical ring that changes her life and turns her into a successful jewelry designer.
Seohyun then clarified that although she is not suffering from social anxiety, she can relate and empathize with the character she is playing especially when she finds herself in awkward situations. The first two episodes of "Ruby Ruby Love" was released on January 17 via Naver.
Fans of Seohyun believe that her first solo album, "Don't Say No," and her first lead role in a web drama is only the beginning of more things to unfold in her career. It seems like the youngest Girls' Generation member is ready to spread her wings and cultivate her career outside of the popular girl group.
However, for the Girls' Generation fans who are worried that Seohyun will completely cut her ties with the group, it seems like there is nothing to worry about as the group members are still reportedly very much intact.
