Former girl group SECRET member, Han Sunhwa, has recently announced her grand comeback. She is planning to return to the small screen with a new drama project.
As reported by Koreaboo, Han Sunhwa is confirmed to star on a new MBC drama titled 'Shining Office'. Back in 2015, the script for 'Shining Office' won the excellence prize at MBC's public script writing contest. It allowed the script to be turned into a drama.
According to E Daily, Han Sunhwa will play the role of a marketing team manager. Not only a manager, she is also the visual of the team. Her character prefers to spend her salary on skin care and pretty outfits.
The character is said to have bold personality. Another trait that is very particular is that she's going to fix her makeup a lot at work, instead of working hard like a manager should.
Han Sunhwa is well-known to Korean public as a former member of girl group SECRET. Together with Hyosung, Hana (previously used 'Zinger' as her stage name), and Jieun, the quartet won lots of prestigious music awards with their handful of hit songs such as 'Madonna', 'Shy Boy', 'Starlight Moonlight', 'Poison', and so on. Right now, SECRET continues as a trio still under TS Entertainment.
Han Sunhwa left SECRET after her contract expired in October 2016, and she had a big role to get SECRET name out to public with her activities on variety shows. She has moved to a big actors and actresses agency Huayi Brothers, which houses popular names like Kim Yoon Seok, Joo Won, Yoo Haejin, Lee Siyoung, and many more.
She acted in four successful dramas and won two awards. The first one was 'New Star Award' from 2014 SBS Drama Awards for her acting on 'God's Gift - 14 Days', and the second was 'Best New Actress' from 2014 MBC Drama Awards for her character on 'Rosy Lovers'. She also acted in 'Ad Genius Lee Tae-Baek' and 'Marriage Not Dating'.
