Even the Grim Reaper can be emotional at times, especially one that is played by "Goblin's" Lee Dong-Wook. After the ending of the popular K-drama "Goblin," the actor who played the Death himself has expressed his love for his role.
It is evident that Lee Dong-Wook will miss his character in "Goblin," the Grim Reaper as he sent fans a tsunami of photos on Instagram. All of which featured the handsome actor clad in classic black. One photo painted Lee Dong-Wook in a smashing black sweater as he conversed with another of the show's cast members. Another photo was of Lee clad in his Grim reaper costume, while the captions read a goodbye message to Grim Reaper, Lee Hyuk, and Wang Yeo.
Apparently, the actor did not only use Instagram to show his love for "Goblin's" Grim Reaper. Lee Dong-Wook also cooked up a video to thank all the show's fans for their undying support for the show. King King Entertainment shared this video in order it to reach more fans, as its purpose serves.
The video depicted a variety of topics and feelings alike. The actor expressed his thanks to all the fans of the show, which amounted to millions all over the world, Bintang reported. The latter was definitely unexpected by everyone on the show, since "Goblin" is a fantasy drama, which has a tendency to be received differently as compared to shows of the romance genre.
Lee Dong-Wook was able to gather a rather large fan base, all of whom embrace him as the Grim Reaper of "Goblin." However, the video also revealed that the actor will return to television soon, with another role. Lee expressed his hopes that all the fans would also embrace his future roles as they did with Grim Reaper as reported by Soompi.
As for the ending of "Goblin," it was a rather sad ending whereas some characters died, including Eun Tak. The ship for Sunny and the Grim Reaper also did not make it to shore, as their love story was too star-crossed. As a consolation, however, after Eun Tak died, she was able to reunite with Kim Shin (Gong Yoo).
