This is probably a sad news for all fans of Yoo Ah In. The "Sungkyunkwan Scandal" actor is reportedly diagnosed with a bone tumor and has to postpone his military enlistment this year to treat his tumor.
Yoo Ah In's agency, UAA Entertainment, has released a statement regarding the actor's condition. The agency also confirmed that Yoo Ah In is indeed suffering from a bone tumor. However, the management hasn't yet to reveal whether Yoo Ah In is in a serious condition since it's a sensitive matter for both Yoo and his family. Based on the statement, UAA urges fans and media to give Yoo some privacy. The actor who gained his popularity after starring in the drama "Secret Love Affair" has undergone several physical exams since December.
According to Soompi, Yoo Ah In had suffered a shoulder injury while filming "Tough As Iron" movie. His shoulder injury gets worse since he filmed "Veteran". Yoo Ah In's medical advisor said that the tumor is benign and he's waiting for another examination. UAA Management promises to release an official statement once a progress develops.
Bone tumor commonly appears on the joints and it could spread to the bones and cartilage. If the condition is not serious, a patient can get a removal surgery. Since the doctor has said that the tumor is benign, Yoo Ah In may undergo this procedure.
Regarding Yoo Ah In's military enlistment that he was supposed to do this year, the Military manpower Administration has suggested that he needs to postpone his military duty. Some people have been speculating that Yoo Ah In was trying to avoid his mandatory military service.
