BTS Ad For SK Telecom Drives Massive Crowds To T World Stores

Fans of BTS or the Bangtan Boys rushed to the nearest telecom shops over the weekend to get a chance to take home their favorite Kpop idol in figurine form in a limited edition promotion announced by communications giant SK Telecom. BTS, as their brand ambassadors were featured in the firm's advertisement which seemed prophetic of the massive response to the promo.

The ad which was released over the weekend, showed students glacing at newspapers and phones and quickly excusing themselves by saying: 'I'll be back," to their teachers and parents. Even assembly halls were emptied out when it was revealed by the ad that the boys were inviting their fans to a two-day special promotion wherein lucky customers get a chance to win figurines of their favorite BTS member - from Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Rap Monster, Jimin, V and Jungkook, reported Officially KMusic.

Based on the promo mechanics, from February 18-19, customers who wanted to get the figurines had to visit Hongdae T-World branch on February 18 and the Garosugil T World location on February 19 to qualify for the promotion. Those who met the requirements were given random keys. If they chance upon the right key to open the boxes, they were entitled to win the figurines.

All hope is not lost for fans who failed to make it in time for the promo as 14 lucky fans who retweeted the special hashtag the SK Telecom released on their official page could still get to win BTS figurines. Winners will be announced on February 21, according to All Kpop.

Meanwhile, BTS recently made waves as they broke the record for the fastest time to reach 20 million views on youtube for their "Spring Day" video. They outdid their performance for their "Blood, Sweat and Tears" MV by reaching 20 million views in less than four days. "The Wings Tour; BTS Live Trilogy Episode III" also added more stops to the world due to popular demand.
