Girls' Generation Will Release 10th Anniversary New Album Reportedly In July!

Recently, some members of the Girls' Generation were reportedly performing lots of activities. Among them is Seohyun who is making her solo debut, and also about to make her own solo comeback is Taeyeon. Apparently, this all appears to be the forerunner to the Girls' Generation's 10th anniversary big event.

According to SBS, the Girls' Generation members are currently in the middle of doing groundwork for a 10th anniversary album. The release of this album, scheduled to be at the end of July, will mark the 10 years since the girls' entrance into the entertainment world.

The Girls' Generation accordingly, debut in 2007 with the single "Into the New World." Their self-titled studio album, "Girls Generation" was later re-released as "Baby Baby" in 2008.

Apparently, the upcoming anniversary album will be the group's first release since the "Lion Heart" in 2015. A year later, the group released a single titled "Sailing" in celebration of their ninth anniversary.

The South Korea-based girl group Girls' Generation, according to Wikepedia, have reportedly released eight studio albums, two live albums. Also, included in the list of releases are four extended plays and twenty-eight singles.

Accordingly, as of Nov. 2012, Girls' Generation has sold a total of over 4.4 million albums and 30 million digital singles. The group as of May 2016, has vended over 1.74 million albums in South Korea. Moreover, as of January 2017, in Japan the girl group sold 3.48 million records, including 944,805 physical singles and around 1.9 million albums.

The girl group is being provided home by S.M. Entertainment, an entertainment company established in 1995. It is allegedly, one of the largest entertainment companies in South Korea. S.M. Entertainment operates as a record label, talent agency, music production company, event management and concert production company, and music publishing house.
